ZHENJIANG's CSSC Marine Power is providing Yangzijiang Shipbuilding up to 10 dual-fuel main engines, reports UK's Seatrade Maritime News.

The deal will feature two plus eight WinGD9X92DF engines. It will be used for the 14,000-TEU dual-fuel container vessels that are being built by Yangzijiang.
CSSC Marine Power's subsidiary WinGD will design the engines, while it'll be built by CSSC-MES Diesel. At the same time, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding supported Tiger Group orders valued up to US$1.15 billion.
The container vessels will be delivered to Greathorse, a subsidiary of Tiger Group Investment.
The engines are built to provide the most reliable possible propulsion capability for modern ultra-large container vessels.
The system has a competing initial investment and meets Tier III emission demands without any external exhaust gas after-treatment system.
