Six new services linking Fujian ports in China with Asia and Europe have been as part of the Silk Road Maritime International Forum.
The six new services link the two ports of Xiamen and Fuzhou with Asia and Europe.
The six services are: PMX service (India and Pakistan) operated by Cosco Shipping, Wan Hai Lines, Evergreen Marine, One and Interasia Lines; JP service (Japan) operated by Jizhou Shipping; IA3 service (Southeast Asia) operated by Maersk; VTX1 service (Southeast Asia) operated by SITC; AE1 service (Europe) operated by 2M Alliance and NEU3 service (Europe) operated by Ocean Alliance.
Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group and Xiamen Port Group jointly launched the first Silk Road Maritime international container service in December 2018 to create a new shipping logistics service platform under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Currently, the Silk Road Maritime Alliance has 183 members running over 60 services covering major ports at Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, Africa and other regions.
Meanwhile, Fujian also issued the service standards for Silk Road Maritime Alliance to promote the high-quality development of shipping and port companies.
