OOCL alters Mideast, subcontinent, North Europe service

HONG KONG's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), now as Cosco unit, has announced a change in service from the Middle East / Indian subcontinent to North Europe and East Mediterranean starting in January and February.

This affects the Middle East / Indian subcontinent, North Europe (IP1) service by first extending coverage to Saudi Arabia (Jeddah), UAE (Abu Dhabi) and Spain (Algeciras), while ending service to King Abdullah, Djibouti, Hazira, Gioia Tauro and London Gateway.
Under the new plan, the port rotation will be Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Tangier, Southampton, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Algeciras, Jeddad back to Jebel Ali.
This also affects the Middle East / Indian subcontinent, North Europe (IP2) service by first extending India coverage to Hazira, while ending calls to Abu Dhabi and Le Havre.
Under the new plan, the port rotation will be Jebel Ali, Karachi, Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Jeddah, Tangier, Rotterdam, Hamburg, London Gateway, Antwerp, Tangier, Jeddah and back to Jebel Ali.
This also affects Middle East, East Mediterranean (EM3) service by extending the East Mediterranean service to the Middle East.
Under the new plan, the port rotation will be Jebel Ali, Hamad, Dammam, Jubail, Jebel Ali, Jeddah, Port Said West, Mersin, Piraeus, Izmit, Istanbul, Aliaga, Iskenderun, Damietta, Jeddah and back to Jebel Ali.
