Taiwan's Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (Yang Ming) has announced a new direct service connecting China and Australia. The China-Australian-2 Service (Loop Code: CA2) will set sail March 10 (ETA Qingdao).
Deploying a fleet of six 3,500-3,900-TEU vessels, this new service is a joint operation with TS Lines, Pacific International Lines (PIL) and Sea Lead Shipping.
The rotation of CA2 is Qingdao, Shanghai, Nansha, Shekou, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and back to Qingdao.
In addition to CA2 service, Yang Ming also provides another three loops covering China/ Southeast Asia markets, namely CAT which rotates through Ningbo, Shanghai, Shekou, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and back to Ningbo.
Yang Ming also provides AA1 to Laem Chabang, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Singapore and back to Laem Chabang.
It also provides service to Singapore, Port Kelang, Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle and back to Singapore.
Pacific International Lines (PIL) markets the weekly service connecting China and Australia as the Sino Australia Express (SAE).
Said PIL chief trade officer Tonnie Lim: "We are launching this new SAE service to meet increasing demand. This reflects the ongoing healthy trade volume between China and Australia."
