UAE ship sinks in Persian Gulf in heavy weather off Iran

A United Arab Emirates-flagged ro-ro ship sank in the Persian Gulf, with poor weather hindering the rescue operation, reports Associated Press.
One of the 30-man crew died in the incident and 28 others have been rescued and taken to the Iranian port city of Assalouyeh.
The Associated Press identified the ship as the 16,021-gross ton Al Salmy 6. The vessel sank 30 miles off the Iranian coast.
