DURING the Seatrade Maritime Logistics Middle East event, which is a part of the UAE Maritime Week, International Chamber of Shipping director Stuart Neil revealed the findings of a survey conducted among 132 C-suite executives representing ICS members worldwide, reports UK's Seatrade Maritime News.
In the keynote panel discussion focusing on the maritime industry's responsibilities leading up to COP28, Mr Neil introduced the 27-page ICS Maritime Barometer Report for the years 2022-2023, marking its publication.
"I'm pleased to say that the key takeaway from the report is that industry feels very, very confident about delivering on change," said Mr Neil.
"The report talks about the approach to zero carbon technologies, fuels understand how to unlock that transition. When it comes to the question of which fuels ships we'll be using in the future, as we look at our zero-emissions futures, there's a wide range of views in terms of the fuel types and when we're likely to see these fuels in our industry."
