SEASPAN, a shipowner based in Hong Kong, has received its fifth 15,000 TEU containership powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) from South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI), reports Rotterdam's Offshore Energy.
The vessel, named Zim Mount Rainier, was officially handed over to Seaspan on August 30th and is now set to embark on a long-term charter with Zim Integrated Shipping Services, an Israeli-based shipowner.
According to Seaspan, the ship is currently safely afloat and docked at KE Quay, Samsung Heavy Industries.
This vessel was christened in South Korea in June of this year, along with its sister ship, Zim Mount Denali.
