JAPANESE-OWNED Ocean Network Express (ONE) has achieved a significant milestone in the maritime industry by breaking the record for container ship cargo at the Singapore Port.

The massive ship ONE Integrity, which had a capacity of 24,000 TEU, exceeded all expectations by packing an incredible 21,954 TEU beating Evergreen's Ever Ace's record of 21,710 TEU in August 2021.

The largest container ships in the world have a nominal capacity of 24,000 TEU, but practical factors like vessel stability and cargo weight frequently limit the number of containers loaded, reports Bangalore's Marine Insight.

ONE Integrity also surpassed Maersk's milestone of 19,038 TEU in August 2018 and MOL Tribute's load of 19,100 TEU.

ONE Integrity, with Its dimensions of 399 meters long by 61 meters wide and with a draught of 16.5 meters, was officially turned over to its operator in 2023.
