HD韩国造船海洋拿下价值3.12亿美元的两艘超大型乙烷运输船造船订单

        韩国造船巨头HD韩国造船海洋(HD KSOE)拿下由亚洲某航运公司委托的建造两艘价值4,588亿韩元(折合3.12亿美元)超大型乙烷运输船(VLEC)的造船订单。

 

        据了解,这两艘乙烷运输船将在位于韩国蔚山的HD现代重工造船厂建造。

 

        据悉,HD韩国造船海洋于今年2月28日签署了协议。根据韩国证券交易所文件披露,这两艘新造船舶预计于2028年12月底前完成交付。

 

         除该订单外,总部位于韩国第四大城市城南市的HD韩国造船海洋近期还与法国达飞海运集团(CMA CGM)达成了重磅协议。

 

        尤其是在今年1月底,总部位于马赛的法国达飞海运集团委托了HD韩国造船海洋建造12艘以液化天然气为动力的双燃料18,000TEU集装箱船,该巨额订单的预估价值为3.7万亿韩元(约25.7亿美元)。

 

        据希腊船舶经纪公司Intermodal提供的数据显示,这批“巨无霸”集装箱船也预计于2028年年底交付。

 

        HD韩国造船海洋在2024年完成的总订单额达到205.6亿美元,而在今年1月初,据韩国几家本土新闻报道,其今年在战略上将聚焦于环保型船舶和高端船舶,目标是拿下超过180亿美元的订单。

 

        然而,据韩国新闻报道的近期数据显示,HD韩国造船海洋在今年已拿下21笔造船订单,订单额预计超过35.8亿美元,即已实现了其2025年度营业目标的19.8%。

 

        此外,HD韩国造船海洋预计将在未来两年内完成某大洋洲船东于2024年10月下单的两艘超大型液氨运输船(VLAC)订单。

 

        这批新造船舶订单价值3,396亿韩元(约2.5亿美元),据报道将于2027年9月底交付。

HD KSOE wins $312M shipbuilding contract for ethane carrier duo

 

South Korean shipbuilding giant HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) has bagged a KRW 458.8 billion (around $312 million) order from an undisclosed Asian shipping company to construct two very large ethane carriers (VLECs).

 

It is understood that the two ethane carriers are set to be built at the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries’ shipyard in Ulsan.

 

As informed, HD KSOE clinched the contract on February 28, 2025. According to the South Korean player’s stock exchange filing, the two newbuildings are anticipated to be handed over by the end of December, 2028.

 

In addition to this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering—which has its headquarters in South Korea’s fourth largest city, Seongnam—recently clinched another major contract, this time with French shipping heavyweight CMA CGM.

 

Specifically, at the end of January this year, the Marseille-based CMA CGM commissioned HD KSOE to construct twelve liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered dual fuel 18,000 TEU container vessels in a deal estimated at a whopping KRW 3.7 trillion (about $2.57 billion).

 

As per data from Greek shipbroker Intermodal, the ‘mega’ containerships are also slated for delivery by the end of December 2028.

 

Having concluded 2024 with $20.56 billion in orders, HD KSOE was cited by several local news outlets in early January 2025 as aiming to secure over $18 billion in contracts for the year, with a strategic focus on eco-friendly and high-end vessels.

 

More recent data from South Korean news outlets, however, indicates that HD KSOE has already won 21 shipbuilding contracts this year, believed to be worth $3.58 billion, which translates to a 19.8% completion of the company’s target for 2025.

 

Additionally, among the units that HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering is projected to hand over within the next two years are the pair of very large ammonia carriers (VLACs) booked by an undisclosed shipowner from Oceania in October 2024.

 

The newbuildings—the contract for which is valued at KRW 339.6 billion (about $250 million)—are reportedly going to join their owner’s fleet by the end of September, 2027.
