THE Ocean Alliance FAL3 service, operated by CMA CGM, began to stop calling at German ports from mid-May with the CMA CGM Mexico calling at EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg for the last time.
Every year, Ocean Alliance including CMA CGM, Cosco, OOCL and Evergreen, continuously adjusts and optimises its global liner services to adapt to the changing market environment, and this year is no exception.
Despite this, EUROGATE did not lose Ocean Alliance services. Following the termination of FAL3 to German ports, FAL1 service switched to call at EUROGATE's terminal in Hamburg. FAL1 is also operated by CMA CGM Group, connecting Asia to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
Last weekend, CMA CGM Georg Forster docked at EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH) for the first time.
EUROGATE is Europe¡¦s leading shipping line-independent container terminal operator, jointly with the sister company Contship Italia operating 12 sea terminals on the North Sea, in the Mediterranean region as well as on the Atlantic.
In Germany, EUROGATE operates five wholly-owned and joint venture container terminals in Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Wilhelmshaven. During its development, EUROGATE has gradually established itself as a leader in the European container terminal industry.
