Container volume at major Chinese ports up 3.5% in late June

The container volume of eight major Chinese ports increased 3.57% in late June comped to mid-June.

Container export volumes increased 3.11% comparing to mid-June. The growth rate of Dalian port, Guangzhou port and SCCT terminal of Shenzhen port exceeded 10%. The domestic container volume increased 4.83%.
In June, container volume at hub ports increased 0.57% year-on-year, recovering to the same level of last year’s.

Cargo throughput at major coastal ports increased 4.3% year-on-year, the export cargo throughput increased 7.25%.
Crude oil shipments at major coastal ports increased 33.9% year-on-year in late June, while the port inventories increased 28.9%.
Metal ore shipments at major ports increased 5.83% year-on-year, among which the growth rate of Tianjin port and Rizhao port exceeded 20%, while inventory volume declined 10.5%.
In late June, the port throughput and container volume of three major Yangtze river ports, Nanjing, Wuhan and Chongqing declined 5.5% and 5.1% year-on-year.
