Yangzijiang Shipbuilding wins bulker pair order from Baosteel

Chinese private shipbuilder Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has clinched an order for two 59,000-dwt bulk carriers from compatriot Baosteel.

The bulker pair, jointly designed by SDARI and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, will be in around 199.95 metres in length, 35.8 metres width and 11.2 metres depth, to be classed by China Classification Society (CCS).
The first vessel is expected to delivered in the first half of 2022 for deployment in China’s coastal area and Yangtze river.

During the first three quarters of this year, Yangzijiang secured new shipbuilding orders for 29 vessels worth approximately $834m.
