Nansha port starts new shipping service to Southeast Asia

THE Chinese port of Nansha in Guangdong province has launched a new shipping route connecting with ports in Southeast Asia.

The service, jointly operated by Wan Hai Lines, CMA CGM, ONE and Korea Marine Transport, will provide direct shipping for import and export businesses between Nansha and Surabaya, Semarang, Jakarta and Port Klang, and better cater to demands in the Pearl River delta region.
Wan Hai Lines, CMA CGM and ONE will each deploy one 4,200-TEU container vessel on the service calling at Hong Kong, Nansha, Shekou, Surabaya, Semarang, Jakarta, North Port Klang, and West Port Klang, according to Seatrade Maritime News, Colchester, UK.
