Chinese shipbuilder Wuhu Shipyard signed asphalt/oil tanker vessel contract with the European shipowner Continental Bitumen.

The 21,100 cu m vessel, designed by FKAB Marine Design, will be classified by Bureau Veritas, is in 168.7 metres length, 28.2 metres width and 14.5 metres depth.
It will be equipped with LNG dual-fuel propulsion system as well as battery power.

It is a breakthrough for the shipyard to build high-end liquid cargo carrier. With the signing of the new order, Wuhan Shipyard maintained its leading position in global market for dual-fuel vessel construction, said Wuhu Shipyard.
Upon the delivery of the vessel, it will be used to support Continental Bitumen’s business in Asia, Australia and North America.
