Jiangsu Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding, a joint venture shipyard between Yangzijiang Shipbuilding and Japan’s Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding, has signed a contract with Meghna group to build four 66,000 dwt bulk carriers.

The 66,000 type bulk carriers, designed by Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding, are in 199.99 metres length, 36 metres width and 18.45 metres depth, with better energy efficiency performance, will be classified by ClassNK and fly the Bangladeshi flag after delivery.
Since from the first order in 2011, Mitsui E&S Shipbuilding has taken over 20 orders of this series of ship.

It is the first time for Jiangsu Yangzi-Mitsui Shipbuilding to build the 66,000dwt bulk carrier type designed by Mitsui E&S.
The four vessels are scheduled to be delivered during the second half of 2022 and the first half of 2023.
