EAST Port Said, announced by SCZone, has made significant progress in the 2022 Container Port Performance Index (CPPI), moving up to the 10th position from its previous rank of 13th in 2021, reports Giza's Egypt Today.
The CPPI, developed by the World Bank's Transport Global Practice and the Global Intelligence & Analytics division of S&P Global Market Intelligence, aims to identify areas for improvement that can benefit various stakeholders, including shipping lines, governments, and consumers.
SCZone CEO Walid Gamal El-Din expressed his pride in the report's findings and attributed the success of East Port Said to the collaboration and integration between the zone, the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), and the Suez Canal Container Handling Company (SCCT).
The report serves as a valuable resource for critical players in the global economy, such as port authorities and operators, governments, international organisations, development agencies, maritime stakeholders, and trade, logistics and supply chain service providers.
