ISRAEL's Zim Integrated Shipping Services has entered into an agreement with Hoopo Systems Ltd to deploy state-of-the-art tracking devices throughout its dry-van container fleet, reports London's Port Technology.
Back in 2022, Zim disclosed an investment in Hoopo Systems, a company focused on creating advanced tracking solutions for unpowered assets.
Zim reports that Hoopo has recently finalised the development of hoopoSense Solar, a new product designed for the maritime industry.
This development has paved the way for Zim to embark on a comprehensive project to integrate these cutting-edge tracking devices into its dry-van container fleet.
"We are delighted to witness the fruition of our investment in Hoopo's unique technological solution. We are now ready to deploy their cutting-edge, durable, and cost-efficient tracking devices on a large scale," said Zim CEO Eli Glickman.
"This deployment will significantly elevate our service levels, providing invaluable information to our customers while ensuring transparency and reliability."
